Something for Everyone!
Classes at the Adult Learning Center are guided by the students' educational needs. The building is staffed between the hours of 8:15am and 6:45pm Monday through Thursday. We are always closed on Friday.
Adult Basic Education - G.E.D. Preparation

Those wishing to earn a High School Equivalency Diploma should enroll in the Adult Basic Education courses. These are offered :
- Mornings from 9:00am to 12:00pm
- Afternoons from 4:00pm to 6:30pm
Classes prepare students for the 5 main parts of the GED/High School Equivalency exams. With 3 distinct levels you can start in the class that's right for you, then advance to your goals.
Tuition for classes at the ALC is $20 per semester. Semesters
are 16 weeks long. Fall semester runs from September through
December. Spring semester runs from January through May.
Please call regarding the Summer enrichment session, which usually runs
for eight weeks in June & July.
You must demonstrate competency in these 5 areas to pass the exams:
- Reading
- Writing
- Math
- Science
- Social Studies
Computer Classes

The Adult Learning Center also offers a full set of Computer Classes for beginners.
- Afternoon classes meet from 12:30 to 2:00pm
- Evening classes meet from 5:00 to 6:30pm
All classes meet Wednesdays and Thursdays.
Topics covered include:
- "Internet & E-mail Basics"
- "Beginning Word Processing"
- "Intermediate Office - Spreadsheets and Presentations"
Each course is $15.00 - payable at the first class session.
